Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing (Energy) for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by Managing Director U Myo Myint Oo for Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise and responsible persons inspected Titut Pipe Line Station in Pyi township, Bago Region and Shwe Taung (Bal Let) Natural Gas Station in Shwe Taung township on 18th January, 2020.
Firstly, Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing (Energy) and his colleague arrived Titut Pipe Line Station in Pyi township and station manager presented the working conditions, the works that will implement in 2019-2020 fiscal year and Magway-Shwe Taung 20 inches pipe line substitution projects that will implement in coming 2020-2021 fiscal year. On his explanation, Deputy Minister (Energy) gave instructions that,
- need to plan for providing higher gas requirement in every year
- to produce natural gas regularly and strengthen of pipe line are important,
- to carried out pipe line maintain works according to Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) and inspected demonstration for pipe line repair work in emergency case.
And then, Deputy Minister (Energy) and his colleague inspected Shwe Taung (Bal Let) Natural Gas Station in Shwe Taung township and station manager presented distribution of natural gas to Shwe Taung Gas Turbine Power Plant and the location of new gas turbine power plant. Deputy Minister (Energy) gave instructions that,
- MOEE would like to the preparation to distribute more natural gas because not only upgrading works but also there will be start new gas power plant construction.
Titut Pipe Line Station is situated near Htamakauk village in Pyi township, Bago Region and a primary base camp to perform pipe line maintain works for Upper Myanmar. Titut Pipe Line Station has repaired pipe line length (1130)miles and MOGE has constructed total length (2371) miles of natural gas pipe line network.
