          H.E. Deputy Minister (Energy) Dr. Tun Naing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy and Departmental Heads inspected Pyay Field implemented by Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise in Shwe Taung, Bago Region and No.(3) Fertilizer Factory (Kyaw Swar) implemented by Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise in Aung Lan, Magway Region on 19^th January, 2020 in the morning.

          In meeting room of Pyay Field, Acting General Manager of MOGE explained the current status. According to his explanation, Deputy Minister instructed that to survey the seismic investigation by using the advanced technology, to find the new well and to maintain the old well for additional oil production.

          The location of Pyay Field is Shwe Taung, Bago Region and constructed in 1965.  The production of crude oil was 2563 barrels per day in 1994 and the production of natural gas was 25.618 million cubic-ft in 1998. Because of several years of production of oil, up to now the production of crude oil is 112 barrels per day and natural gas is 0.0783  million cubic-ft from (15) wells. So, MOGE has tried to perform the work plan systematically for improving of oil and gas.

          Next, Deputy Minister and his companion inspected the project work of well with National 55/6 machine in Pyay Field. At the briefing hall, the respective officers explained the current status of drilling well and Deputy Minister instructed that to appreciate the officers and staffs for accomplishment of well by safety and to try for the new well as the previous activities. And then, Deputy Minister met with staffs warmly and instructed the needs of work.

          And then, Deputy Minister and his delegation inspected No.(3) Fertilizer Factory (Kyaw Swar) implemented by MPE. In the meeting room of factory, the Plant Manager explained the history of this plant and the requirement of after finishing renovation of this plant. And then, U Aung Myint, Managing Director of MPE also explained the maintenance work plan of renovation of this plant. According to their explanations, Deputy Minister instructed that to maintain the machine and accessories of plant for good efficiency and he addressed the staff to study for the usage of latest technology nowadays.

          After that, Deputy Minister and his companion also inspected the control room and around factory area. In this factory, the responsible persons explained the current works and Deputy Minister instructed the needs of work.

          The location of No.(3) Fertilizer Factory  (Kyaw Swar) is front side of Ayeyarwady River, Kyaw Swar Village, Aung Lan in Magway Region. Since 1984-1985, this fertilizer plant produced fertilizer. This factory has stopped in 2011 because of the status of getting natural gas. And now, MPE has tried to plan and renovate this factory with the gas of Shwe Offshore for supplying fertilizers for domestic demand.
