Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, U Khin Maung Win inspects 350 MW Thilawa Power Plant Project (LNG to Power) in Kyauktan Township, Yangon

          Deputy Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, U Khin Maung Win accompanied by officials inspected 350 MW Thilawa Power Plant Project (LNG to Power) to supply the growing demand for electricity in the summer of 2020 in Kyauktan Township, Yangon on February, 2020.

           Firstly, the Deputy Minister and companions were presented power plant project data and quickest implementation plan for new power plant on confirmed and selected land by official from V-Power Co., Ltd. who implemented the project. Deputy Minister gave instructions that MOEE implemented seven thermal power plant projects to generate over 1000 MW in Magway, Shwedaung, Kyun Chaung, Ahlone, Kyauk Phyu, Thanlyin and Thaketa to supply the growing demand for electricity in the coming summer, to be urgently completed 350 MW Power Plant Project (LNG to Power), to meet the standards for the project material, to get the machines and accessories in time and to be take care on the workplace safety.

        Afterwards, the Deputy Minister inspected implementation of LNG ship jetty, implementation of Regasification Unit, conducting of Foundation to install medium speed and high speed generator sets, implementation of 20 inches Gas Pipe Line laying, conducting of Foundation for 230 kV seven towers and switchyard extension at the interconnection from 350 MW Power Plant Project to existing Thilawa  Power Plant.
