H.E. Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy inspected Nan Cho Hydropower Plant and Upper Paung Laung Hydropower Plant

         

         

          H.E. Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo and responsible persons from Department of Hydropower Implementation, Electric Power Generation Enterprise and Electricity Supply Enterprise inspected Nan Cho Hydropower Plant and Upper Paung Laung Hydropower Plant in Naypyitaw Council Area on 6th January, 2018.

        Nan Cho Hydropower Plant is built on Nan Cho Chaung far about 16 miles from East of Pyinmana Township, Naypyitaw. It ran into operation on 11th April, 2014. It has 40 (2 x 20) MW (installed capacity) and generates 152 Million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.

        Upper Paung Laung Hydropower Plant is built on Paung Laung River far about 26 miles from East of Pyinmana Township, Naypyitaw. It has 140 (2 x 70) MW (installed capacity) and generates 454 Million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.

          H.E. Dr.Tun Naing and departmental heads inspected operational status of those plants. And they met servants and their family for health, education, residential and trasportational status, etc. And then, H.E. Dr. Tun Naing and departmental heads supplied foods, oil and other requirements for their servants.
