H.E. Deputy Minister (Energy) Dr. Tun Naing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy inspect Fertilizer Factory No.(5) (Kan Kyi Htaunt) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Factory No.(2) (Nyaung Tone)

       H.E. Deputy Minister (Energy) Dr. Tun Naing accompanied by Electricity, Industrial, Transport and Communication Minister U Win Htay in Ayeyawaddy Region, Managing Director U Aung Myint and responsible persons inspected Fertilizer Factory  No. (5) (Kan Kyi Htaunt) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Factory No. (2) (Nyaung Tone) on 2nd February, 2020.

       Firstly, Deputy Minister (Energy) and his colleague arrived Fertilizer Factory No. (5) (Kan Kyi Htaunt), Myanma Petrochemical  Enterprise near Owe Bo village, Kan Kyi Htaunt township, Pathein district, Ayeyawaddy Region. In meeting room, factory manager presented the history of factory, production and distribution status of urea fertilizer and Managing Director U Aung Myint also explained in brief. Deputy Minister (Energy) Dr. Tun Naing gave instructions that,

  • to emphasize safety for workplace,
  • to check machine and machine parts according to specifications so that they would be durable,
  • to collect and purchase the spare parts in advance to product with full capacity of factory,
  • MOEE honour that there have profit at present time, even though . There has a loss in previous time .
  • to try more production of fertilizer and present situation should not be satisfied,
  • urea fertilizer factories are high technical factories and need to work all together,
  • to make enthusiastically all the best for long-term  durable.

And then, Deputy Minister (Energy) inspected operating and production status in control room , the staffing housing and meet the families of the staff, warmly.

     The Fertilizer Factory No. 5 (Kan Kyi Htaunt) is situated near Owe Bo village, Kan Kyi Htaunt township, Pathein district, Ayeyawaddy Region and is producing over Urea 350 tons per day used natural gas from Nyoung Tone- Maupin oil field and distribute with tendering system.

    In the afternoon, Deputy Minister (Energy) and his fellow arrived liquefied petroleum gas factory No. (2) (Nyaung Tone) and the transferring work of liquefied petroleum gas factory No. (3) (Kyun Chaung) to this compound (Nyaung Tone). The responsible persons from transferring work presented the installation work of machine parts. On their explanation, Deputy Minister (Energy) gave instructions that,

-   to be safety for transferring works and compete in time,

-   to implement within construction schedule,

-   to make  less on the usage of electricity and

-   to produce more on LPG providing for the less amount of fired wood/ charcoal              usage and electricity.

       Liquefied petroleum gas factory No. (2) (Nyaung Tone) is producing about LPG 12 tons per/day used natural gas from Nyaung Tone-Maupin oil field. The transferring work of liquefied petroleum gas factory No. (3) (Kywn Chaung) completed 32 % and there will produce more LPG production after completion of this factory.
