H.E. Deputy Minister Dr. Tun Naing (Energy), Ministry of Electricity and Energy received U Sithu Moe Myint, Country Manager and the delegation of MPRL E & P Pte. Ltd. (the A-6 JV) on 6th February, 2020 (09:00)hr at the Meeting Room of Office No. (27), Ministry of Electricity and Energy.
During this meeting, they discussed the current status of offshore Block A-6 (Ultra Deep Water) operated by MPRL E & P Pte. Ltd, Total E & P (Myanmar) and Woodside Energy (Myanmar) Pte. Ltd. and commercial production commencing at the end of 2023, the process of Feasibility Study, Geotechnical Survey & Metocean Survey for Appraisal, Predevelopment & Production, the process of signing related agreement for works of ESIA, Pipeline Network, Final Investment Decision-FID, the negotiation for gas usage in domestic and export to foreign counties produced from offshore Block A-6, the survey data of 2D Seismic and 3D Seismic Data for Processing & Interpretation. The offshore block A-6 is a very first Ultra Deep Water Project so MOGE needs to train knowledge sharing for capacity building and petroleum engineering for MOGE staffs and getting works for local people by production of gas for development of this area.
The meeting was also attended by Permanent Secretary U Tin Maung Oo, heads of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy, responsible persons from MPRL E & P Pte. Ltd, Total E & P (Myanmar) and Woodside Energy (Myanmar) Pte. Ltd.
