H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE and his delegation attended opening ceremony for celebrating 36th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Energy and other related meetings in Singapore on 29th October, 2018 in the morning. In this opening ceremony, H.E. Mr. Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Trade and Industry in Singapore delivered an opening address.

        Myanmar Delegation Led by Union Minister H.E.U Win Khaing for MOEE left for Singapore to attend the 36th ASEAN Energy Ministerial Meeting and Related Meetings such as the 15th ASEAN + 3 Ministerial Meeting, the 12th East Asia Summit Ministerial Meeting and the 11th Singapore International Energy Conference on 28-10-2018, 07:15 am. Those Meetings would be held from 29-10-2018 to 31-10-2018 in Singapore. Responsible Persons from MOEE were seen off at Yangon International Airport.

    U Win Khaing, Union Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy, attended a dinner honouring to 26th Council meeting of ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology (AAET) held in the evening on 27 October at Novotel Hotel, Yangon.           In his address at the dinner, Union Minister said that in the transition to Industry 4.0 cooperation among ASEAN countries become more important and more innovation is required for further development in economic, social and humanitarian matters in ASEAN countries. Next, the Union Minister accepted the Senior Fellowship and Academy of Engineering Technology for Developing World Fellowship presented by AAET.

H.E. U Win Khaing, Union Minister for Ministry of Electricity and Energy  who is attending the Belt and Road Energy Administerial Conference  initially holding  on 18th  October 2018 at Suzhou city, the Republic of China met with  Mr. Li Fanrong, Deputy Administrator  of  National  Energy  Administration (NEA), the Republic of China on 19 th  October  2018. They discussed about the condition cooperating  between  the two country  of Electric and Energy  sector,  Project  and cooperate  projects.

Deputy Minister Dr.Tun Naing for Ministry of Electricity and Energy accompanied by responsible persons from Department of Electric Power Transmission and System Control and Electricity Supply Enterprise inspected 132kV Kalaw Substation in Shan(South) State on 20th October 2018. In the inspection, Executive Engineer of this substation presented current situation of primary substation and then Deputy Minister gave comments such as to clean, strong and fit the transmission lines and substations, to clear electric hazard, to reduce electric shortage and to stable voltage and then inspected around the substation.
