H.E. Union Minister U Win Khaing for MOEE met with Laos Minister of Energy and Mines H.E. Dr. Khammany Inthirath at the Luang Prabang View Hotel, Luang Prabang, Laos, to discuss about increasement on bilateral cooperation in electrical sector.

Union Minister H.E. U Win Khaing  for Ministry of Electricity and Energy and his party left  to Laos and attended 2nd Ministerial Level Meeting of working  committee for electricity sector cooperation between Laos and the Republic of the Union of  Myanmar on 14th Feburary, 2019 at 10:00 am. They were seen off at the Yangon International airport by Laos first Secretary Mr. Somphay VONGMAHACHACK and U Maung Maung Latt, Chairman of Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation and responsible persons.

Opening ceremony of 66 kV Yarzagyo-Kalay-Kalewa power line 49.96 miles and 66/11 kV, 5 MVA Kalewa substation under Department of Power Transmission and System Control was held Kalewa substation in Sagaing Region on 10-2-2019 at 08:30am.

- The conducting coordination meeting on the plans for increasing electricity distribution in Sagaing Region and Chin State was held at Kalay Township, District Electric Engineer office meeting hall on 9-2-2019 at 16:00 hr.
